Howdy folks! This January 19-21st, I'll be saddling up and heading to the massive Star of Texas Tattoo Convention happening in the heart of Austin. As an ex-Texan, I'm thrilled to return to one of my favorite cities and take part in this world-class Austin tattoo extravaganza. Star of Texas Delivers Top Austin Tattoo Talent and Live Music
The Star of Texas Tattoo Convention will be going down at the Palomar Auditorium right in the heart of downtown Austin. Taking place January 19-21, 2025, this event brings together over 200 of the most acclaimed Austin tattoo artists from across the globe right here to the Lone Star State.
I'll be reppin' American Tattoo Vista, CA alongside legendary tattoo artists Sam Phillips and Ben Grillo in their shop's booth. Beyond slingin' tattoos, the convention features live performances from Jigglewatts Burlesque and Lizardman Sideshow , Austin tattoo competitions with prizes, rockin' vendors, and live music performances every night - all showcasing the breadth of talent that makes the Austin tattoo community so incredible.
After Parties Take the Austin Tattoo Fun Into the Night
Once the convention floor closes, the party don't stop thanks to a stacked lineup of afterparties across Austin's famous 6th street. The opening night bash will be going down at Casino El Camino, with cold drinks, live bands, and good times.

On Saturday night, get ready for the main event - hosted by none other than Gypsy Rose and DJ Todd Johnson. But the highlight just might be the charity boxing match Tattooed Gloves, where your favorite tattoo artists duke it out across three rounds of fully-sanctioned fisticuffs.
From the sessions to the side action, Star of Texas perfectly captures the creative spirit and vibrant Austin tattoo culture that makes this city, in my humble opinion, the darn greatest in Texas.
